TWU Members have stood up in Court against StarTrack management and won.

A Message from Richard Olsen, State Secretary of the TWU.

Head Delegate Jason Benson with Secretary Richard Olsen and Assistant Secretary Mick Pieri

TWU Members have stood up in Court against StarTrack management and won.

This means that the company has failed in its attempt to use the court system to gag Delegates and Members in StarTrack yards.

How we won, came from you as a member choosing to contribute to the union strength in your own yard.

As union members, the best defence we have is a strong and united membership across all StarTrack yards.

By going to court against the people you work with and also your union, StarTrack management have proved they would rather fight with you than work on fixing the MANY issues in your yard.

Your TWU Officials are working very hard to ensure StarTrack know what we want and that they need to start listening and working with us. Your Officials and Delegates will keep you updated on what is happening and will talk with you about how to continue to be an active union member in your yard.

We will not be ignored any longer, unions are simply about people standing together to be stronger.

TWU Members united in StarTrack yards will show managers they must deal with our issues.

A win in court is just the start!

Richard Olsen,
State Secretary Transport Workers’ Union.
