The recent sale of National Foods at Lidcombe to Parmalat was a concern for many TWU members. When companies are bought and sold, many times employees find themselves out of pocket or out of a job.
The TWU delegates and officials have effectively secured a smooth transition for Lidcombe members from the old owners to the new ones. This has been a great win for TWU members as they have not only ensured their conditions, with the transference of the EBA, but have been awarded an increase in super contributions by the company, up to 13%.

This win has been brought about by the hard work of delegates, officials and members who have been involved in 3 off site meetings with Parmalat management, and meetings between delegates and HR. The TWU looks forward to continuing this working relationship with Parmalat and lifting the conditions across the Milk industry.
