Our 2011 Delegates' Conference last week our biggest and best yet.

We had over700 of you at conference this year, a new record. Delegates won over $20,000 in prizes and we successfully staged an action to make your voices heard on the issue of Safe Rates, blocking James Ruse Drive on Thursday 25 August.

Delegates' Conference was a great opportunity to reflect on what you as members have achieved in pay and working conditions in your yards and throughout the transport industry.

I want to officially recognise and thank not only delegates who received honours at conference for their work, but all of our members and delegates for the real difference they have made this last year.

In standing together with your fellow TWU members you are improving conditions for your own family and at the same time you are part of a mass movement of tens of thousands of transport workers who are TWU members.
